The Dates
*The November program commences in Israel on Wednesday morning the 9th of November 2022 and concludes Monday evening 21st November 2022.
*The Spring program commences in Israel on Wednesday morning the 26th of April 2023 and concludes Monday evening 8th May 2023.
Flights
Flights are not included in the cost of the program and participants are free to make their own arrangements. That said, if there are sufficient people who wish to fly together, we will endeavour to arrange a group flight.
Israel Unbound works alongside Amy Wasbutzki through FBI Travel in Melbourne and Miriam Rosenman through Rose Bay Travel in Sydney.
Miriam and Amy are able to arrange individual flights and accommodation as needed and can be contacted at amyw@fbitravel.com or miriam@rosebaytravel.com.au.

Participants are free to make their own arrangements.

Deposit
A $500 deposit is required to guarantee your place on Israel Unbound. The deposit is fully refundable if participants withdraw more than six weeks prior to the commencement of the program.
Insurance
Participants (up to the age of 85) will be covered for medical insurance whilst on the program. This includes cover for COVID-19 related illness. Participants are strongly advised to purchase general travel insurance prior to departure.
Number of participants
The trip will proceed with a minimum of 18 participants and a maximum of 35.
Hotels
We will be staying at 4-5 star hotels throughout the duration of the program.

Our program staff are English speaking and have a wealth of experience working with travel groups. Please note that there will be a staff member with the group at all hours. See below:
Staff
Director and Tour Educator: Avi Cohen
Avi is the Director of Israel Unbound and the tour educator for the May group. Avi has been involved in both informal and formal Jewish education for decades. Following his undergraduate studies in African history he furthered his studies in the modern Middle East and has lectured at universities in both Israel and Australia. He has worked as a tour guide in Israel with a particular interest in Jerusalem.
Avi is an engaging educator and utilises multiple methods and sources to engage his audience. So expect music, film, poetry and of course the bible. On the culinary level Avi has a well developed nose for a good whisky.

Israel Coordinator: Shafrira Breuer
Shafrira has been directing long and short term travel to Israel for as long as she can remember! With a B.A. in Political Science and Jewish History from Bar Ilan University and a teacher’s diploma, she has been responsible for educator recruitment and training for many years and has run many successful leadership seminars.
Shafrira is an extremely passionate and dedicated coordinator and educator, ensuring that the Unbound program runs like clockwork — a miracle in Israel!

Tour Guide: Ian Brown (TBC)
Our primary tour guide is Australian born and has lived in Israel for the last 30 years. He has an MBA from Melbourne University and worked for many years in solar energy. He brings enormous energy and knowledge to his guiding . Ian looks forward to being part of a team facilitating this wonderful Israel experience.

Ian is an accomplished chef and looks forward to sharing his knowledge of Israeli cuisine and wine with the group.

Coordinator & Madricha: Rayzl Cylich (TBC)
​
Born and raised in Melbourne, Rayzl was the fourth in her family to volunteer as a Lone Soldier in the IDF, where she served in the Artillery Corps. She is currently undertaking a B.A. in Communications and hopes to return to Israel to live.
Rayzl's role as Madricha is to ensure that all trip arrangements run smoothly and efficiently, providing assistance with hotel check-ins, reservations, doctor visits, etc.

Your health, well-being, and enjoyment are our top priorities. The Israel Unbound travel team consults with health and security experts around the world to ensure a healthy and enjoyable travel experience.
The policies and procedures related to COVID-19 vary from state to state and country to country. They are also constantly getting updated and revised accordingly. We plan to update you in the weeks leading up to your trip, but you are ultimately responsible for checking and complying with the policies of your travel destination.

Insurance:  We strongly encourage you to have the appropriate travel insurance that will both cover your health care needs and allow you to cancel for any reason. It’s helpful for you to provide us with your policy information in the event it is needed during the trip. We are happy to provide you with insurance referrals; please ask us!
Israel Unbound provides medical insurance, including Covid-19 cover while you are on the program itself.

Please pay special attention to the cut-off date by which you must take out insurance after registration for the trip.

Pre-Tour Health Screenings: In addition to meeting destination COVID-19 requirements, all participants must complete a wellness declaration before joining Israel Unbound . This declaration requires you to provide one of the following documents:

Transportation: Specific details will vary by airline, but standard operations typically include flight attendants wearing masks, sanitising all surfaces between flights and physical distancing. Our local transportation vendors will provide hand sanitisers for participants and ensure that all buses are sanitised before our use.

Your Travel Staff: Our travel staff are available 24/7 throughout the seminar to help address unexpected situations – including illness and emergencies.
